To the reader: I do realize that this article may be uncomfortable for some of my brothers and sisters in Christ. So, if you’re one who limits yourself to what goes on in the marriage bed, you may not want to read on. However, if you’re willing to explore and see if you have more options, please prayerfully continue to read through. But for the rest of you who are mature in the faith, I hope this article encourages you to grow in the knowledge that you already have. So, wherever your faith may take you, please richly enjoy sexual intimacy with your spouse.
Now, those of us who are married should know that the sexual act between a man and a woman can bring about the most intense physical pleasure. And it’s for a good reason. For it’s one of those pleasures of life that brings forth new life into this world. So, this being the case, doesn’t it make sense that God would make it intensely pleasurable? And let’s remember what God’s word says in Hebrews 13:4, “Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled” which means marriage is good for everyone and that sexual intimacy is not to be viewed as dirty, defiling or unholy. And let’s also remember that we ourselves are here because our parents (whether they were married or not) had a sexual encounter as well. And let's thank God for that however the case may have been. Because God can bring about good even in bad situation. Amen.
I would like to point out that there are health factors involved in sex for both the man and woman. For science has shown that the man’s semen contains components that can helps enhance a woman’s mood and help provide for a safe pregnancy. Also, for the man that keeps sexually active, he can help fight-off prostate cancer. So, “Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.” (1 Corinthians 7:5) Therefore, a couple should make an effort to keep sexually active, whether they're young newlyweds or well advanced in years. (See links at the bottom of this article for studies concerning the health benefits for men, women and even children)
Now, I have found that God’s word is like a puzzle. For it’s put together in such a way to cause us to study through it in order to piece things together. This way, if the enemy does come and try to remove a few pieces from it, we still can see the big picture. Therefore, we can rely on God's word for everything that pertains to life, both past, present and even our future. Now, though my studies I've found that God has provided ways for us to function even in our infirmities. And one of those areas we may struggle in is the area of sex. Because let’s face it, there are some of you who may not always (or even cannot) have a normal sexual intercourse. Therefore, God provides us with sexual acts that are not only beneficial, but are very pleasurable as well. For God “giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” (1 Timothy 6:17).
So, let’s talk about oral sex. For this is one of those acts outside of vaginal intercourse which can be performed on both the man and the woman. Now, there are some who may view this act as being sinful. However, that's not true because God never condemns it in his word. For there are couples who rely on it to help get things going in the marriage bed. Also, oral sex can prepare a woman for vaginal intercourse and even help her achieve an orgasm as well. There are also studies showing that oral sex is good for older couples as well. Now, of course there may be times that a man can’t achieve an erection. Therefore, oral sex may be their only option for sexual intimacy. Of course, these same couples would need to get creative in their quest to have children and to enjoy sexual pleasure. However, with a little help and cooperation from each other, it can all be work out. (see medical studies at the bottom of this article that pertain to what was already mentioned)
Now, we must understand that sexual issues are a result of the fall of mankind which occurred back in the garden of Eden. For before the fall, we read that God said in Genesis 1:31, “And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” So, all was well in God’s creation. However, we read after the fall that God said to the woman in Genesis 3:16, “I will greatly multiply your sorrow in childbearing; in sorrow you shall bring forth children.” And we can see this not only in the hardships associated with the actual giving of birth, but in the grief of miscarriages, stillborn, and birth defects which took place down the road.
Now, from what we can read in Genesis, siblings did conceive children by having sex with each other. And because conception occurred within the family tree, there wouldn’t be miscarriages and other issues as we see today. But we know as time progressed, corruption started to take effect in our family gene pool. Therefore, during the time of Moses, God made it a law restricting all sibling marriages from that point on. This is because family defects could be easily passed on to the next generation if siblings continued to mate and have children within their family unit. However, because of this law that forbade siblings to continue to have offspring, another issued occurred. This would be the further away a couple is from each other’s family gene pool, the greater the chances are for a miscarriage to occur. It’s kind of like donating an organ. So, further the donor is from the recipient’s family, the greater the chance for their body to reject the organ.
So, that's why it’s important for a woman to expose herself to her husband’s semen before and even after conception. And according to medical studies, one of the best ways to do this is through oral sex. For studies have shown that a woman literally becomes one flesh with a man when she receives his semen whether vaginally or orally. This is because she actually receives his DNA though the act of sex, thus becoming one with him. It’s kind of like “you are what you eat.” Therefore, we see that the words of Jesus to be true when he said: “Have you not read that He who made them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?” (Matthew 19:4-5) Yes, God said that a woman literally becomes “one flesh” with her man. So, by a woman exposing herself to her husband’s semen, especially through oral sex, she would be lessening her chances of a miscarriage. (see medical studies at the bottom of this article)
As you may already know, studies have shown that a weekly sexual release for men can help maintain their prostate and reduce the risk of cancer. So, that is why it’s important for a woman to engage her husband in a weekly sexual act. But what about those men who are single or may have a wife who doesn’t always comply sexually? Well, there is always masturbation. And no, masturbation is not a sin. For in Leviticus where we read of sexual restrictions, we don’t see any restriction on masturbation. However, instead we read: “When a man has a seminal emission, he must bathe his whole body in water and be unclean until evening, and he must wash in water any clothing or leather that has semen on it, and it will be unclean until evening. When a man has sexual intercourse with a woman and there is a seminal emission, they must bathe in water and be unclean until evening.” (Leviticus 15:16-18)
So, we see that there are two situations happening above. The first is a man having a sexual release by himself which would include both masturbation or a nocturnal emission. And the second is a sexual release while being with a woman. So, if God wanted to restrict masturbation, he would have definitely made it clear here in Leviticus. However, he didn’t, and that’s because he knew that in our fallen state, a man may need to masturbate to help prevent prostate cancer. And let’s remember that God’s word says: “Everything is permissible,’ but not everything is beneficial. ‘Everything is permissible,’ but not everything builds up.” (1 Corinthians 10:23)
Therefore, anything that’s not restricted in the Bible is permissible. However, for it to be fruitful, is must be beneficial for us as well. And according to studies, the more frequent a man ejaculates, the less likely he will come down with prostate cancer. So again, whether you’re a man who is single or married, make sure you have a weekly sexual release. And you ladies, show true love for your husbands by engaging him in a weekly sex act. Amen.
Now, there is something else which is good and even healthy, and that is circumcision. Yes, by removing the foreskin on the man’s sexual organ, it lessens the chances of infections and diseases for the man. Also, it makes sex much more pleasant for the woman by eliminating the odors that can occur from being uncircumcised. Now, in the past when Adam was naked and not ashamed, this extra fold of skin was necessary to protect his most sensitive part. However, those days are now gone because of the fall of man. Thus, our clothing is now a suitable source of protection.
So, we can see why God would come up with the covenant of circumcision. For God promised Abraham that he would be the father of many nations by giving him a son through his barren wife Sarah. And we know for this promise to come about, Abraham would have to be sexually intimate with Sarah. And as said before, by removing the foreskin, sex becomes overall healthier and more pleasant, not only for the man, but for the woman as well. This would be especially true during oral sex. Therefore, I believe it was appropriate for God to make such a covenant. For again, it’s the sexual act that not only brings about the most intense pleasure but one that brings forth new life into this world as well. And yes, we do see Paul the apostle speaking negatively concerning circumcision at times. However, this was because some Christians were making it a law and a requirement for salvation. However, that’s not the case if one is doing it strictly for health reasons.
So, as long as person is not using circumcision to make themselves appear justified in the eyes of God, there shouldn’t be a problem being circumcise. For we read that even: “Paul went on to Derbe and Lystra, where there was a disciple named Timothy, the son of a believing Jewish woman, but his father was a Greek. The brothers and sisters at Lystra and Iconium spoke highly of him. Paul wanted Timothy to go with him; so he took him and circumcised him because of the Jews who were in those places, since they all knew that his father was a Greek.” (Acts 16:1-3)
Below are a few passages from the Bible’s Song of Songs chapters. Contained within the pages of this book are descriptions of the human body as well as sexual intimacy through the use of metaphors. So, read through its pages asking God to bring out its rich meanings. And let’s remember that God’s word says we are “fearfully and wonderfully made,” and that he gave us “all things richly to enjoy.” So please do enjoy. Amen. (Psalm 139:14) (Timothy 6:17)
Bible references to the beauty of the human body:
Bible scriptures concerning the beauty of desiring your spouse:
“Now Boaz, with whose female servants you worked, is our close relative. Look, tonight he is winnowing barley at the threshing floor. Wash, put on perfumed oil, and wear your best clothes. Go down to the threshing floor, but don’t let the man know you are there until he has finished eating and drinking. When he gets ready to go to sleep, take careful notice of the place where he lies down. Then go, uncover his legs, and lie down beside him. He will tell you what you should do.” (Ruth 3:2-4)
In the book of Ruth, we read about a Moabite woman named Ruth whose Jewish husband passed away. Instead of going back to her own people, Ruth clung to her mother-in-law Naomi who took her back to Jerusalem. Now what gets interesting is that Naomi sets Ruth up with Boaz who is a close relative of Ruth’s husband who passed away. Now, Naomi tells Ruth to put on some perfume, dress up nice and then to go down to the harvest field where Boaz is at and wait until he had a few drinks and lays himself down. Naomi then tells Ruth to uncover the feet of Boaz and to lay herself down for the night. This is a clear hint that she wanted to engage him in a sexual act and thus become his wife. Now, we know that Ruth didn’t perform any sexual act on Boaz that night. However, she still gave him a clear hint that she wanted to become “one flesh” with him and thus become his wife. And we know it worked, for they eventually got married.
Now, please take note. The bible itself has clear references to oral sex such as: “An adulterous woman consumes a man, then wipes her mouth and says, ‘What's wrong with that’?” (Proverbs 30:20 NLT) So, her consuming a man would be partaking of his semen orally. Also, in Leviticus we read: “If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.” (Leviticus 20:13 NIV) So, one of the sexual acts that can be performed between two men as well as a man and a woman would be oral sex. However, we never see any restrictions in God's word against the act of oral sex. For it can help get things going in the marriage bed. And for some couple it may be their only option for sex.
Now, someone may say, “see, oral sex is wrong because it’s being used by homosexuals and adulterers.” Well, even though oral sex is being used within these two passages, it still doesn’t make the act of oral sex itself wrong. For we must keep in mind that God sometime uses sinful examples to convey something good. Didn’t Jesus himself remind us of his return by using an example of a thief. For he said in Revelations 16:15: “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” (Revelation 16:15) We see this same thing being said by Peter where we read: “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.” (2 Peter 3:10) So, are we to conclude that Christ’s return is something sinful? God forbid, of course not. Therefore, we can’t always judge an act itself by a reference associated to it. For sense we are all sinners who are saved by God’s grace, we can easily understand these types of passages better by using worldly act we are familiar with.
So, I hope and pray that this article would be a help in your marriage relationship. For we must put away any doctrines of man that makes sex look dirty or even evil. And let’s remember that we are here because our parents had a sexual encounter. God created sex to bring life into this world so that we can experience his Awesomeness and his great love for us. Therefore, it makes sense why he made it to be one of the most intense pleasures for us here on earth. God bless you as you seek to do his will, Amen.
Below is some helpful information concerning sexual intimacy. These are articles and medical studies that show not only the benefits for both the man and the woman, but for any future children (including the one in the womb) as well:
Below are some other Christian websites and a few videos on marital intimacy:
Below is an article showing how Mary, Joseph and Jesus could all be related to each other. This article is being presented to you only as a plausible and logical reason why Jesus would be included in Joseph's genealogy. So, please read with an open mind and leave your comments or questions. Thank you.
Many couples may struggle when it comes to sexual intimacy. However, God created it to be a blessing and something to richly enjoy. So, do some research of your own. For there are many Christian websites and videos on marriage out there. Click below for one of them.
To the Reader: It is my intent fellow brothers (and sisters) in Christ, to remind you of what God’s word says concerning this somewhat controversial topic. For we must break away from the doctrines of men and follow the truth of God’s word. So, I ask that you read and prayerfully consider what’s being said below concerning the act of masturbation. Now, my focus is mainly pertaining to men because of the health benefits available to them. And sense I am a man as well, I don’t feel that I’m qualified to comment on women who engage in this act.
However, that doesn’t mean that you women should avoid reading this article. For if you’re married and care about you husbands’ heath, you may find this article to be helpful as well. So, please read on with an open mind and prayerfully consider what’s being said. And remember to only go where your conscience would allow you to go. For if you are one who feels uncomfortable with masturbation, then please don’t do it. For even Paul the apostle said: “Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.” (Romans 14:22-23 NKJV) So, even though that passage pertains to food, it should also include anything else that we may do.
“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2Ti 2:15)
There are studies out there which show that a weekly sexual release of semen can help maintain a man’s prostate and reduce his risk of cancer. Therefore, you wives should engage your husband in a weekly sexual act. Also, there are health benefits for you wives as well. This would be true however you receive your husband's semen into your body (see studies below). And of course, for you men who do not have a wife (or you have one that doesn’t care much about your sexual health and needs), there is always masturbation. And no, masturbation is not a sin. For in Leviticus where we read of sexual restrictions, we don’t see any restriction against masturbation. For we only read that: “When a man has a seminal emission, he must bathe his whole body in water and be unclean until evening, and he must wash in water any clothing or leather that has semen on it, and it will be unclean until evening. When a man has sexual intercourse with a woman and there is a seminal emission, they must bathe in water and be unclean until evening.” (Leviticus 15:16-18)
So, if God wanted to restrict masturbation, wouldn’t he have included it here in Leviticus. For we must remember that our bodies exist in a fallen state. Therefore, I believe that God has allowed certain act to help us maintain our health. And this would include masturbation to help maintain a healthy prostate. And let’s remember that God’s word says: “Everything is permissible,’ but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible,’ but not everything builds up.” (1 Corinthians 10:23) So, anything that is not restricted in the law of Moses, should be allowed. However, for it to be fruitful, it should be beneficial as well. And according to some studies listed below, masturbation is beneficial.
So, ladies, let’s be diligent to engage your husbands in a weekly sexual act. And for you single men who are having prostate issues, you may need to engage yourselves in this act.
Now that all being said, we as men need to stay away from wrongful lust. This would be true whether you are single or married. Therefore, if you one who has a problem with pornography, you need to seek God’s help to end your addiction to it. For masturbation should not be used in such a way that would be displeasing to God. Therefore, you would need to focus mainly on God and even be praying to him while doing this act. There may even be nothing wrong if you’re ask God to help you find a wife as well. And if you happen to be one who is away from your wife for an extended period of time, there would be nothing wrong with visualizing yourself with her during this act.
However, masturbation should not be an excuse to crack open a porno magazine to fuel one's lustful passions. For that woman who is posing before you could be a married woman (sad, but true). Therefore, you would be committing adultery, for Jesus said: “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Matthew 5:27-28 ESV) So again, masturbation should only be done in such a way that would not be offending to God. And this would only be true if your conscience allows you to go there. So, please always seek God in everything you do. And do some studying on you own concerning this topic. Therefore: “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” (2 Timothy 2:15)

There are many health benefits for both for the man and the woman who engage in a weekly sexual act. This would also be true those men who are single as well. For studies have shown that a weekly sexual release can help to fight off prostate cancer. So, let's always keep sexually active, whether your newlyweds or very seasoned in years.
